Jon was born into a family where music has always been important. His sister is the principle bassoon player in the BBC Concert Orchestra, his mum was a keen pianist and his dad could take his shoes off and hum!

After various attempts to learn a musical instrument he eventually realized that his voice (honed in school choirs) was actually quite good. Following a youth show in which he & a friend performed an Elvis tribute (don’t ask) he formed Wild Vibrations - a three piece outfit playing covers from various decades. Three piece became four piece and eventually five with Jon being able to drop the bass and concentrate on his singing. The band members changed as did the band name, however Jon and some ex members still drag themselves out on special occasions usually under the name of “Guesswork”.

It was during a break up period of “Guesswork” that Jon became involved in “Elements”. Around “Guesswork” and “Elements” Jon has worked for a number of different bands from soul to rock, done some solo work and has performed in front of audiences from 2 to 2000, on stage being where he’s happiest.
